With more than 3,800 supported cleft surgeries in 15 countries, Smile Train and Dentsply Sirona look back on almost three years of their impactful partnership. With Smile Train, the world’s largest cleft-focused organization, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Dentsply Sirona has a strong partner to advance the future of cleft care, bringing healthy smiles to children and parents around the world as a result.
Smile Train, Dentsply Sirona and FDI first came together in 2022 to improve the quality of and access to cleft care globally. The partners have made it one of their priorities to create global standard treatment protocols and make them available to dental professionals providing care to people born with clefts in underserved communities around the globe. For Dentsply Sirona, this engagement is part of the company’s sustainability strategy “BEYOND: Taking action for a brighter world”.

Following a host of successful joint initiatives over the past couple of years, long-time partners Smile Train and Dentsply Sirona are expanding access to cleft care for underserved communities in Asia. The partners kicked off the joint activities earlier this year, with additional actions following later in 2024.
