Smile Train Wins Platinum at the 29th Annual Viddy Awards

New York, NY – December 3, 2024 – Smile Train, the world’s largest cleft-focused organization, won two Platinum Awards, one Gold Award and one Honorable Mention at the 29th Annual Viddy Awards, which recognizes excellence in the way video is created, produced, and delivered. The Viddy Awards is one of the oldest, largest, and most respected awards programs in the video industry.

Smile Train was recognized in the following categories:

1. Platinum winner: Documentary "Every Day After"
2. Platinum winner: Long-form - Non-Profit "Samir’s Pipe Dreams Come True"
3. Gold winner: YouTube - Non-Profit and Activism "Ignace: Smile Scout”
4. Honorable Mention: Short-form - Non-Profit “Cleft Awareness Month 2024 Video Series”

Viddy Award winners were selected from over 2,500 entries throughout the United States, Canada, and 22 other countries across hundreds of categories under the headings of Non-Broadcast, Broadcast/Cable/Subscription TV, Commercials, Pro Bono, and Achievement. The Platinum Award is awarded to those projects that the judges deem are written, produced, shot and/or edited in an exceptional manner. The Gold Award is awarded for projects that exceed industry standards.
