Smile Train Announces Bill Swersey as Senior Vice President of Communications

In this role, Swersey will lead Smile Train’s global communications strategy, strengthening brand presence and amplifying the organization’s impact worldwide.

With over 20 years of experience in digital transformation, marketing, branding, and communications, Swersey brings a wealth of expertise to Smile Train. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Communications at HIAS, the world’s oldest refugee protection agency, where he spearheaded award-winning digital initiatives and developed high-performing, data-driven strategies to enhance engagement and visibility. A former journalist with a deep passion for storytelling, editorial content, and video, Swersey has a strong track record in media relations, social media, online fundraising, and advertising. His extensive experience in building high-performing teams and leveraging technology will be instrumental in advancing Smile Train’s vision to sponsor life-changing cleft care for children around the world.
