ACPA Annual Meeting 2022

Registration

• Smile Train partners can register for the ACPA Meeting using a coupon code which will be shared by their Smile Train Manager.
• The code gives partners a 100% discount and will not require payment information.
  • Complete the registration form online at this link.
  • Coupon code box is prominently placed in the registration form. 
  • Reach out to your Smile Train Manager or the E&T team if you need the coupon code.
• ACPA will make changes from in-person to virtual attendance, if needed.

Hotel Accommodation

• Smile Train covers hotel accommodations from March 28 (Monday night)—April 1st (Friday night, with checkout on Saturday) for a duration of 5 nights.
• Partners can reserve a deluxe room at the special meeting rate.
• Partners should apply for a reimbursement grant after they’ve booked the room. Make a reservation at this link if you have not already done so. Rooms are limited: Book today!
• The attendee covers the cost if
  • o the duration of stay exceeds 5 nights.
  • o upgrade costs exceed the deluxe room rate.

Visas

• Partners are responsible for obtaining their own visas. Visa costs will be reimbursed alongside travel and accommodation claims. Partners should apply for a reimbursement grant after they’ve paid for visa and accommodation fees.
• Smile Train provides documentation to support visas including a letter of support. Reach out to your E&T team, if needed.
• Smile Train does not have authority to contact embassies to expedite visas.

  • This is not open tthe public.
  • Registered Smile Train family and their partners are welcome; please RSVP here.
• Simulare Medical Bilateral Cleft Workshop
  • Wednesday, March 30 at 5:30 p.m. CT
  • Dr. Roberto Flores will lead 30 expert trainers who want to train the workshop regionally
  • Smile Train partners will be nominated for the workshop and notified ahead of time.
  • Seats are available to expert surgeons through ACPA
• Nutrition Panel
  • Wednesday, March 30th from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. CT
  • Nutrition panel experts will highlight Smile Train's 5-year commitment to scale investment in global nutrition
  • Seating is capped at 300 people and available on a first come, first served basis.
• Simulare Medical Bilateral Cleft Panel Discussion
  • Thursday, March 31st from 3:00-4:30 p.m. CT
  • The official launch of the Simulare Medical Bilateral Cleft cartridge
  • Panel discussion led by Dr. RobertFlores and world-renowned cleft surgical experts
• Smile Train and Simulare Medical booths in the exhibit hall
  • Stop by to explore Simulare Medical cartridges with the production team.

Travel

• Attendees should book a basic economy ticket
  • Purchase a ticket with insurance, flexibility of refund, or cancellation options due to Covid
  • Upgrades to an economy class ticket can be made at the cost of the attendee.
  • Once you have all the invoices, apply for an education and training reimbursement grant from Smile Train.
• If a group of individuals comes from the same partner, they can be grouped together as one grant under a hospital name.
• The hotel does not provide a shuttle; partners can elect a rideshare option (Uber, Lyft, or other) to get to and from the airport.
• Partners are encouraged to share rides, whenever possible.

Virtual Attendees

Translation: Translation exists for virtual attendees with subtitles in Spanish. Virtual translation may be available in languages other than Spanish. Please stay tuned for an update.

On-Demand Access: All live-streamed sessions will be recorded and available On-Demand for viewing outside of the conference event hours.
