Nicole Bell

Nicole Bell, Smile Train’s Vice President of Public Relations, is a PR and communications pro with more than two decades of experience as a journalist, media strategist, and college professor.
Nicole comes to Smile Train from 1st Degree Marketing & Public Relations. As a Senior Media Strategist at 1st Degree, she worked with the agency’s top clients to lead campaigns, create media strategies, write press releases, pitch stories, and secure top-tier national media, including NBC Nightly News, The Associated Press, Newsy, and Fox News.
Prior to joining 1st Degree, Nicole spent five years as the Director of Public Relations for Operation Smile. In that role, she spearheaded national and international campaigns while also securing local, national, and international media coverage that raised awareness and funds and increased corporate partnerships for the organization.
Nicole also served as a public relations manager for a K-12 school. As a college professor, she taught graduate-level courses in public relations.
For more than a decade, Nicole covered a wide array of topics while working as a television journalist. She has reported for TV stations in New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Virginia.
She holds a Master’s in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University and a Bachelor’s in Speech Communications and Broadcasting from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
