Smile Train seeks to establish a cleft-focused, dynamic, and collaborative culture of research and innovation across all our programmatic activities. We are committed to harnessing the valuable resources we have, such as our vast cleft treatment outcome data in Smile Train Express (STX), and empowering our strong international partner network in 75+ countries around the world to leverage research and innovation in their ongoing treatment programs. Smile Train aims to pursue bold ideas and leverage data and technology to undertake, support, and enable research and innovation aligned to and underpinned by the UNs Sustainable Developmental Goals that act as a driver to transform global cleft care.
Smile Train’s Research & Innovation Advisory Council (STRIAC) blends the expertise of Smile Train’s Global Medical Advisory Board (GMAB) and other key researchers/leaders around the world to help drive Smile Train’s research agenda and prioritize future research and innovative projects in the best interests of Smile Train and the global cleft community.
