We are excited to officially launch our charitable partnership with Candid for this year. Candid is a direct-to-consumer clear aligner company focused on helping customers receive orthodontic care at an affordable price. Their core mission is to increase affordability and access to care by leveraging modern telehealth practices to diagnose, treat and monitor orthodontic cases.
Making Smiles Accessible, Together!
Through our partnership, Candid will support cleft treatment for 1,000 children globally. The partnership will also help raise much needed awareness about the severity of cleft among both consumers and experts and provide vital support in orthodontic health care for the children served by our programs.
Candid recently visited Smile Train’s programs in Mexico City to witness first-hand the work they are helping support. During their visit, Candid employees were able to meet with 3-month-old cleft patient Sophia Michelle and her family who were waiting for her to receive her cleft repair surgery once she was old enough. During Candid’s partner hospital visit to the Centro SUMA Clinic, the hospital was hosting a clinical day where over 50 patients from the Mexico City region came to receive speech treatment, nutrition counseling, orthodontics, and psychotherapy care.
