Advocate for ELSA

July is Cleft Awareness Month — take action by supporting legislation cleft-affected Americans are counting on to get the care they need.

Join Us for Our ELSA Email Outreach Campaign July 15–16

Make your voice heard! On July 15 and 16, we’re asking supporters to help build momentum for the Ensuring Lasting Smiles Act (ELSA) by encouraging their networks to click on the Take Action button below and contact their legislators.

In the US, children born with cleft and other congenital conditions are often denied essential care like orthodontics and speech therapy, even when medically necessary. The Ensuring Lasting Smiles Act (H.R. 3277/S.1677) would close this coverage gap by requiring private insurers to cover all necessary treatments - so doctors, not insurers, decide what care kids need to grow, speak, and thrive.

Our easy-to-use Advocacy Tool includes prewritten messages—just two clicks is all it takes to make an impact. Start by entering your address and clicking on the "Go" button. Together, we can make sure families affected by cleft and other congenital conditions get the care they need.
