Shari Mason

Vice President, Brand Marketing

Shari joined Smile Train’s team in November 2005 and is currently Vice President, Brand Marketing. She is responsible for Smile Train’s global brand identity and global messaging. She oversees the organization’s creative department, video production, copywriting and content curation. 

Shari has been able to leverage her prior experience working for the world’s leading customer engagement agency, OgilvyOne, to help Smile Train reach many impressive smilestones. These include lighting the Empire State Building in Smile Train’s signature colors to raise awareness for children with clefts on World Smile Day® and filling the main arena of Brooklyn’s Barclays Center to celebrate one million forever smiles.

In May of 2013 Shari had the opportunity to visit Cambodia. The extreme poverty and desperation she saw was tempered by the true spirit of Smile Train’s local in-country Cambodian partner surgeons and their teams. They are there, on the ground, seven days a week, 365 days a year – creating new smiles and new hope in a place where both can be few and far between. Smile Train’s programs, partners and children of Cambodia have left footprints on her heart and for this she is forever humbled, forever grateful and forever changed.

Shari holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Boston University and communicates smiles on a daily basis.
