Shannon Lambert

Vice President, Program Development

Shannon joined Smile Train in 2013 and currently serves as the Vice President, Program Development overseeing newer and developing priority areas of Smile Train’s work directed at strengthening essential, non-surgical treatment programs and growing partner engagement globally. Shannon previously served as Smile Train’s Vice President and Regional Director for the Americas and Europe leading the strategy and management of programs and partnerships across 30+ countries. Driven by her passion for the cause, she has devoted her career in the nonprofit sector to executing programs that support patients and families affected by cleft.

Prior to joining Smile Train Shannon was the Associate Vice President of International Programs for Operation Smile, providing operational oversight for hundreds of volunteer medical programs, including disaster relief initiatives. Shannon also spent time living in France and Senegal working with international students and furthering her studies. She holds a Bachelor’s in French Language & Literature and Anthropology from the University of Virginia, a Master’s in Foreign Languages from George Mason University, and an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Duke University.

Shannon is dedicated to serving the local communities that Smile Train supports and empowers through its sustainable, comprehensive cleft care model, and is deeply inspired by the many opportunities and transformations that cleft treatment can create.
