Our Smile Squad is a special group of Smile Train supporters who use their talents to raise funds and awareness for children born with clefts around the world.
These superstars donate their birthdays, host ice-skating parties, plan races, dance, collect recycling, and so much more. Our community is joined together by one common thread: our commitment to creating new smiles.
In 2018, our 1,215 Smile Squad members helped 5,230 children. Today, we are spotlighting just a few of our fundraisers from 2018 and thanking them for their tireless support. Check them out below and find out how each went above and beyond to put smiles on the faces of children around the world.
Fox Bash: Members of the Fox family throw legendary concerts every October to support children born with clefts.
Mongol Rally: Madison and Jake decided to support Smile Train in one of the most adventurous ways possible — the greatest motoring adventure on the planet.
Natananjali School of Dance: School founder Lakshmi was inspired by one of her students to donate the proceeds of the year-end showcase to Smile Train.
Eastwick College: The Surgical Technology Department has been serving up smiles in the campus cafeteria for the past 10 years.
Holistic Yoga: North Carolina yoga studio owner Gloria Moore has been donating a percentage of the proceeds from her classes to Smile Train for years.
Matilda Lansdown: Matilda raised funds for Smile Train by asking for sponsors for her 3-day trek through Italy. Every mile helped support new smiles.
John Grieves: John released his first children’s book, inspired by his granddaughter and her fun-loving puppy. He dedicated the book to Smile Train.
Kathryn Rodriguez: Kathryn has run the Chicago Marathon twice for Smile Train Team EMPOWER because she feels that everyone deserves a beautiful smile.
Smile Train greatly appreciates all our fundraisers for their hard work and dedication. Their endless creativity and passion for helping others goes a long way in putting smiles on the faces of children around the world.
