Smile Train, the world’s largest cleft organization, is partnering with the World Health Organization (WHO) to bring the healing power of art to Peru. Through the Art Impact 4 Health initiative, an incubator initiative from the WHO Director-General, the WHO works with healthcare facilities in developing countries to help enable healing, communication and improved psychosocial well-being and Health for All in practice through engaging art and community activities.

Today, Smile Train, the world’s leading cleft organization, announced their partnership with the West African College of Surgeons (WACS) to launch the Smile Train-WACS Cleft Surgical Certification. The Certification will grant 6 surgeons per year over the next five years the opportunity to specialize in cleft care across West Africa.

Oral health non-profits FDI World Dental Federation (FDI) and Smile Train are joining forces with support from GSK Consumer Healthcare to launch a two-year project to improve oral health guidance and on-going cleft care for children with clefts.
