Masha joined Smile Train’s team in July 2014 and serves as Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships. Strong partnerships with corporations are essential to helping Smile Train fulfill its mission and perform one surgery every five minutes. Masha’s main focus is developing Smile Train’s Corporate Partnership program to include various corporate funding and partnership opportunities.
Masha has worked in the nonprofit management and private philanthropy field for more than ten years. Prior to joining Smile Train, she was Senior Director for Corporate Social Engagement at Changing Our World, a philanthropic advisory firm. While there, she advised leading corporations on their Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and helped leverage their corporate assets to drive social impact, improve corporate reputation, and increase consumer and employee engagement. She also developed partnerships for nonprofit and corporate clients that connected charities, communities, employees, and consumers to address social concerns and meet business goals.
Before joining Changing Our World, Masha was a Program Officer at the Open Society Foundation, a private foundation that supports health, education, access to information, youth, and more. Prior to that, Masha managed the Community HealthCorps, an AmeriCorps direct service program that addresses public health needs of medically underserved communities in New York City.
Masha holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from State University of New York, Purchase College and a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
