Masha joined Smile Train in July 2014 and serves as Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships. Smile Train builds corporate partnerships that help create smiles for children with clefts, while also delivering benefits to the company, the consumer, and stakeholders. In this capacity Masha and her team identify, secure, and manage relationships with Smile Train’s corporate partners, and work across departments to develop campaigns that marry brand marketing and philanthropy.
Masha has worked at the intersection of nonprofit management and Corporate Social Responsibility for more than 15 years. Before joining Smile Train, she was Senior Director for Corporate Social Engagement at Changing Our World, an Omnicom agency. While there, she advised corporations on their corporate philanthropic strategy and helped to leverage resources to drive social impact, improve corporate reputation, and increase consumer and employee engagement. She also developed partnerships for nonprofit and corporate clients that connected charities, communities, employees, and consumers to address social concerns and meet business goals.
Prior to consulting, Masha was a Program Officer at the Open Society Foundation, a private foundation that supports health, education and access to information, and more. Her commitment to providing access to healthcare began with her role as the Manager of an AmeriCorps direct service program that addresses public health needs of medically underserved communities in New York City.
Masha holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from State University of New York, Purchase College and a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
