Born and educated in Canada, Priscilla spent more than 10 years as a marketing professional in global advertising agencies including Ogilvy, McCann Erickson and Saatchi & Saatchi. During that time, she handled international accounts such as General Motors, Motorola, and Nestlé.
Robert Toth
Chief Operating Officer
Prior to joining Smile Train as Chief Operating Officer, Robert Toth spent nearly 20 years at Computer Associates in senior management positions in operations, business development, and general management in the United States and internationally. While at Computer Associates, Bob was responsible for developing and implementing sales programs that generated revenues with a market value in excess of US$1 billion.
Satish Kalra
Chief Programs Officer
Prior to being promoted by the Board of Directors as Chief Programs Officer, Satish spent the last 11 years as Smile Train’s Regional Director for South Asia. Under his leadership, Smile Train’s programs grew to more than 160 partner hospitals in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka, performing over 300,000 free cleft reconstructive surgeries on children in South Asia who would otherwise never have been able to afford them.
Brian Dearth
Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
As Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Smile Train, Brian brings over twenty years of experience in direct-to-consumer marketing, marketing intelligence platforms, and business development. Prior to joining Smile Train, Brian was a Partner in New Madison Ave, a digital media agency, where he was responsible for developing marketing, public relations outreach, business relationships, and customer acquisition strategies for clients. Prior to joining New Madison, he served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Customer Management for Scholastic, Inc., the leader in children’s media and book publishing.
Dr. Shell Xue
Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Regional Programs
On September 1, 2006, Dr. Shell Xue joined Smile Train as Chief Project Officer for China. She has used her coaching, resources development, and leadership skills to grow Smile Train’s partner hospitals from 143 to 397 in China. Smile Train’s cleft repair surgeries in China now average 30,000 children annually, 120 per working day, and a total of over 220,000 free cleft lip and or palate reconstructive surgeries have been provided in China over the past 11 years.
Jill Woodcome
Senior Vice President of Programs
Knowing how difficult life can be for a child born with a cleft, Jill has been instrumental in supporting Smile Train’s overseas efforts, serving as the primary liaison for the nine regional managers and their teams. Under her leadership, the Program Team is responsible for the oversight of approximately $50 million in annual grant awards globally, partnering with close to 1,000 in hospitals across more than 70 countries.
